What is the Lima International Arbitration Center?
The Lima International Arbitration Center It is an institution specialized in the administration of extrajudicial dispute resolution mechanisms, with an emphasis on arbitration, in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 1071 – Legislative Decree governing arbitration, as well as with the standards and best practices of national and international arbitration.
Within the scope of its corporate purpose Lima International Arbitration Center organizes and administers domestic and international arbitrations submitted to its jurisdiction, acting as the administering institution of the arbitral proceedings and ensuring their conduct in accordance with the principles of independence, impartiality, efficiency, confidentiality, and due process, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the rule of law, legal certainty, and the development of national and international trade.
Likewise, the Lima International Arbitration Center provides services in other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, such as mediation, and carries out academic, training, research, and outreach activities in the fields of arbitration, other ADR mechanisms, Dispute Boards and International Economic Law, promoting the consolidation of an arbitration culture for the benefit of the national and international arbitration community.
Mission
We provide specialized, impartial, and efficient solutions for alternative dispute resolution (ADR), aimed at States, international organizations, companies, investors, and other stakeholders in national and international trade, through the administration of arbitrations, Dispute Boards and other ADR mechanisms. Likewise, we promote the specialized training of users of the extrajicial dispute resolution system and academic dissemination in the fields of arbitration, other ADR mechanisms, Dispute Boards, and International Economic Law.
