The Lima International Arbitration Center is the first international arbitration court in Peru to establish a strategic alliance with the Miami International Arbitration Center of CAMACOL  (MIAC-CAMACOL), an institution of the Latin Chamber of Commerce of the United States (Cámara de Comercio Latina de los Estados Unidos – CAMACOL),consolidating an institutional bridge between Latin America and one of the main hubs of international arbitration.

Model Clause for Ordinary Arbitration - MIAC-CAMACOL

When the parties intend for the MIAC-CAMACOL Ordinary Arbitration Rules (“Rules”) to apply to their disputes, they may consider incorporating the following clause into their contracts:
“Any dispute, difference, or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, including any question concerning its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, or termination, shall be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Miami International Arbitration Center of CAMACOL (MIAC-CAMACOL) of the United States Latin Chamber of Commerce (CAMACOL), in accordance with its Ordinary Arbitration Rules.”

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into between the Lima International Arbitration Center and ESAN University has as its primary objective the establishment of a framework for institutional cooperation aimed at promoting arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms. Its purpose is to foster a culture of peace through the promotion of arbitration as an effective tool for resolving disputes, while also contributing to reducing the burden on the judicial system. Through this agreement, both institutions join efforts to promote academic, educational, and research activities, such as accreditation courses, seminars, conferences, competitions (Moots), and specialized publications. Likewise, the MOU promotes the exchange of knowledge and experience, fostering the development of arbitration at the national and international levels and serving as a strategic platform for institutional and academic consolidation in the field of arbitration.
